Your new role Social Media Animator The Social Media Animator is responsible for creating engaging animations for National Highways' social media channels. This role plays a vital role in enhancing the organisation's online presence, driving user engagement, and supporting the overall campaigns strategy for social media content. You will help to ensure best practice and accessibility guidelines are followed, complying with our visual identity, while seeking opportunities to innovate, and embed insights in the approach to develop content that effectively addresses key issues.
What you’ll be leading on
Develop and produce high-quality animations for National Highways' social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Create visually appealing and compelling animations that effectively convey key messages, narratives, and information to the target audience, helping to ensure that all communications are aligned to the National Highways Communications Strategy and cross-cutting campaigns. Optimise animations for social media platforms, considering file size, format, and technical specifications for seamless integration and optimal performance. Maintain a consistent visual style and brand guidelines across all animated social media content. Stay updated on emerging animation trends, techniques, and tools to ensure the delivery of cutting-edge and innovative social media animations. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of animation into multimedia content, including copywriters, graphic designers, illustrators, photographers and videographers. Monitor and analyse the performance of animated content, using insights to refine future animations and improve engagement metrics.
To be successful you’ll need
A strong, shareable portfolio of projects, driven by clear, measurable objectives. Proven experience in creating engaging animations for social media platforms, with sound knowledge of the nuances of each key platform. Proficiency in animation software Adobe After effects is essential. Also proficient in other Creative Suite applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Animate, and Acrobat Pro. Knowledge of 3D software such as Cinema 4D would be advantageous. Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects with varying timelines. Strong attention to detail, ensuring animations are of the highest quality and align with brand guidelines.
