My client is looking for a Senior Energy Consultant to join their team, who wants to change the world and has a passion for sustainable development along with excellent technical knowledge and experience in a management position. A Senior energy consultant will perform various types of work within the company, such as IES-VE building modelling, Energy compliance, design work and project management tasks.Location: Manchester AreaSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on the experience)Employment type: PermanentThe RoleAs a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and developing client relationships, providing support through technical advice, and evaluating the structure of buildings and strategies for the feasibility of M&E systems, for various types of buildings.As a Senior Energy Consultant, you will:Have excellent prior knowledge of using IES-VE software for creating both simple and complex building models.Be familiar with undertaking heat loss and energy use studies based on architects’ drawings.Have the knowledge to assess buildings for low carbon technologies (Solar PV, Heat Pumps, Batteries, EV Charging Stations, etc.)Can provide technical advice and guidance to clients when required.Assist junior team members where necessary.Ability to liaise confidently with mechanical & electrical designers and provide design input.Produce reports and communicate findings with architects and clients.Be competent in reviewing CAD drawings and 3D models.Assist in the creation, improvement, and evaluation of company internal processes. Essential Skills and Experience:Sustainability or engineering-related degree.Full clean driving license (Able to travel to sites)Minimum one of the following qualifications:-OCDEA Qualified-PAS2035 - Retrofit Coordinator (Not Assessor)-NDEA L3 & L4Fully IES-VE CompetentExperience with advanced excel functions such as macros.Can review/edit CAD drawings and 3D models (Autodesk / Revit)Experience with energy use and carbon emissions in buildingsKnowledge of heat transfer & power generation and their applicationsCycle to Work scheme.Simply Health Plan – Level 3 (Worth up to £2,275)Company funded social calendar including 2 Lunches out per month and 1 Team night out with event, drinks & dinner every 2 months.Holiday buy and sell scheme.If you believe you have the necessary skills and experience for this role, please apply now.
