The Client:

Our client is a renowned construction firm, delivering outstanding building projects throughout Dublin and its surrounding regions.

The Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the entire tender process.

They will consider both senior and intermediate level candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough reviews of tender documents including bills of quantities, specifications, drawings, and contracts.
• Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Perform site inspections for tenders.
• Collaborate with the Bid and Construction operations teams to develop a coordinated response for site preliminaries, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Develop detailed cost plans and budgets.
• Analyse tenders meticulously for pricing.
• Present findings at tender settlement meetings with Directors.
• Participate in post-tender interviews and meetings to discuss and refine bids.

Requirements:

• Previously worked for minimum 3 years in a similar role.
• Level 3 qualification in quantity surveying.
• Experience in the construction sector, ideally within the Irish construction industry.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
