Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Are you an experienced and skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician looking for a new opportunity? Major Recruitmen have an exciting position available for a proactive and dedicated professional to join our client's team.

As a Industrial Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of electrical systems for a manufactuing acility in Hexham.

Package:

  • Competitive starting salary �37,000 - (On call Allowence - �42k) Expected Earnigns of �47K
  • Core hours Monday to Friday (40 hour week)
  • On call rota (to be confirmed)
  • Annual leave & bank holidays

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting planned preventive maintenance (PPM), inspections, and troubleshooting on electrical equipment, machinery, and systems.
  • Identifying and repairing reactive electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime and maximising equipment efficiency.
  • Installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control panels.
  • Collaborating with other maintenance team members to address electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Assisting in the development of maintenance plans and procedures to enhance system performance and safety.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Participating in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Recognised apprenticeship/industry qualification in Electrical Installation or Maintenance i.e. City & Guilds Level 3.
  • Up to date 18th edition I.E.E. wiring regulations.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting within a facilities management organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices related to electrical maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and provide clear maintenance reports.
  • A valid & full UK Driving Licence is an essential requirement for this position.
