Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Are you an experienced and skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician looking for a new opportunity? Major Recruitmen have an exciting position available for a proactive and dedicated professional to join our client's team.
As a Industrial Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of electrical systems for a manufactuing acility in Hexham.
Package:
- Competitive starting salary �37,000 - (On call Allowence - �42k) Expected Earnigns of �47K
- Core hours Monday to Friday (40 hour week)
- On call rota (to be confirmed)

Responsibilities:
- Conducting planned preventive maintenance (PPM), inspections, and troubleshooting on electrical equipment, machinery, and systems.
- Identifying and repairing reactive electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime and maximising equipment efficiency.
- Installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control panels.
- Collaborating with other maintenance team members to address electrical and mechanical issues.
- Assisting in the development of maintenance plans and procedures to enhance system performance and safety.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Participating in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
- Recognised apprenticeship/industry qualification in Electrical Installation or Maintenance i.e. City & Guilds Level 3.
- Up to date 18th edition I.E.E. wiring regulations.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting within a facilities management organisation.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and schematics.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices related to electrical maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and provide clear maintenance reports.
- A valid & full UK Driving Licence is an essential requirement for this position.
